It’s hard to believe it’s already time to welcome students back to the ‘Burg again. Each class of Bobcats raises Frostburg’s academic bar higher and higher. Those students work hard, of course, but they also have a big hand from Bobcat alumni.
Since 2009, the Annual Fund has issued 220 Opportunity Grants totaling well over $600,000, funding projects that help our students grow as professionals and as individuals.
One great example is our annual Undergraduate Research Symposium in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, which became a campus mainstay with Opportunity Grant support. The Symposium gives undergrads a formal academic venue to present their best works to faculty, staff, alumni, community members and fellow Bobcats. This May, 221 students presented 137 projects from 13 academic departments.
