After 43 years of service to the students of Frostburg State University, Dr. Tom Bowling is retiring from Frostburg State University on June 30.
Tom started at Frostburg State College 43 years ago as the assistant to the vice president for Student Affairs, Dr. Alice Manicur, later becoming associate vice president. He has been vice president since 2006. He also served as interim president, providing valuable stability and transition between administrations.
Tom has had a tremendous impact on our students, especially in terms of providing and expanding experiential education opportunities for our students.
To honor Tom upon his retirement, please join me in making a gift to the Bowling Family Global Citizen Fund. This fund, established by Tom, supports the global competence of Frostburg State University students who wish to investigate the world beyond their immediate environment; recognize perspectives, others’ and their own; communicate ideas effectively with diverse audiences; and/or take action to improve conditions.
Please, join me in honoring Tom on his retirement!
James shared his personal plea with his family and friends earlier, but we thought it would be great for everyone to see what an impact Tom is having on some of our more recent graduates.
